About

Hi, I’m Addie — mother, outdoor educator, environmentalist, and creator of Raising Regenerative.

This space grew out of my own anxious questions as a new parent: how do we raise children who can thrive — emotionally, practically, and spiritually — in a changing climate?

Though I spent years as an outdoor educator and permaculture designer, and graduated with a masters degree from the Nicholas School of the Environment – nothing lit a fire under me more than becoming a parent. I became obsessed with how we can better raise children to live well in a world characterized by uncertainty and change. And luckily, my skills and past experiences prepared me well to seek answers my own questions.

My approach is grounded in science and rooted deeply in the permaculture framework, while weaving together insights from well known educational philosophies like Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, Montessori, and nature-based education. And at the end of the day, I’m a parent to two humbling and lovable little tornados – so that keeps my insights nice and realistic.

Through climate-resilient parenting courses, nature-based learning materials, and practical how-to guides, I help parents and educators nurture confidence, creativity, competence, and care — so children can not only handle change but help shape what comes next.

Raising Regenerative is about applying positive imagination like our children’s future depends on it. Here we’re about finding joy and purpose as we raise the next generation of caretakers, creators, and change-makers.

So, welcome. Together we’re going to raise kids who can imagine better, adapt bravely, and grow in alignment with the planet. If you’re ready to get your hands dirty, come check out the blog, courses, and other free resources.
